Downtown Roseville Ice Rink FAQs

1. How do I purchase tickets and what are the prices?
We encourage attendees to purchase tickets in advance to reserve their preferred time slot. Tickets can be purchased on this page by clicking on the "Buy Tickets Here" link.

On-site, guests can also purchase tickets using their mobile device by scanning a QR code. Entry times are based on ice availability and capacity at the time of arrival.

Pricing per session:
$18 – Ages 14+
$10 – Ages 6–13
Free – Ages 5 & under
(Admin fees apply.)

Each session lasts one hour, which includes time to select and return skates.

2. Can I bring my own skates?
You cannot bring your own skates. We provide specific skates that are suitable and safe for the synthetic ice rink.

3. Is the ice rink made of ice?
The Downtown Roseville Ice Rink is made of synthetic ice, not real ice. Synthetic ice is a specially engineered material that provides a similar glide and skating experience without the need for freezing temperatures or large amounts of water. Plus, it’s an eco-friendly alternative that allows skating in any weather!

4. How many tickets can be bought per time slot?
Each skating session is limited to 40 skaters. When you choose your time slot, you’ll see how many tickets are still available.

5. Will there be staff to assist with putting on skates?
Yes, our rink staff will be there to assist children with putting on their skates.

6. How many people can the rink accommodate per session, and how long will sessions last?
Sessions are 1 hour long which includes 45 minutes on the ice and 15 min to return the skates.

7. Will there be other activities or special events happening around the rink during the holiday season?
Check out the City of Roseville for additional information on holiday events and check back on this website for Downtown merchant event information.

8. Are there accommodations for families with young children or beginners who have never skated before?
Yes, we have skate helpers to assist young children and beginners.

9. Is there a spectator area for people who do not wish to skate, but still want to watch skaters on the rink? Are tickets required to access this area?
Tickets are only required if you wish to skate. While there is no additional seating, the ice rink is out in the open, so you'll be able to watch the fun on the ice!

10. Will there be vendors or vendor opportunities at the ice rink?
For this year's event, we do not have any vendor opportunities. However, there may be vendors in Downtown as a part of another event happening at the same time. Please check our calendar for updates on other events happening in the area!

11. What will happen in case of bad weather?

If there is heavy rain or inclement weather, Downtown Roseville Partnership will notify guests via email and issue a coupon to use for another date/time.
