Description
The LGBTQIA+ Collage and Journal Making class offers a creative and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies to explore, express, and celebrate their identities through art and storytelling. By fostering community, empowerment, and self-expression, the class aims to promote healing, resilience, and advocacy within the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond.

12:00PM Setup
12:30PM Workshop begins: introduction, depending on size of group-introductions of
attendees, explanation of materials and writing exercise about Pride and tapping into
authentic self.
1:15PM Collaging covers of journals
2:15 PM Discussion and meditation for describing feelings and creating “painted” paper
from sheets inside the journal. Create collage to express a feeling inside the journal.
3:00PM Constructing an envelope and attaching to inside back cover to fill with paper
scraps, quick explanation of any printed activities, continue collaging.
3:45PM Cleanup and gratitude
4:00PM End workshop
