Picture Perfect Photo Opportunities in Downtown Roseville
Brighter and warmer days are ahead of us! Celebrate National Photography Month (and the beautiful weather) with some fabulous photos. Whether it is for a special occasion or “just because” Downtown Roseville has several picturesque photo spots you will want to visit!
Use Artwork from the Downtown Roseville Mural Project as a Backdrop
Blue Line Arts’ Mural Project has adorned many buildings in Downtown Roseville with color. A few of our favorites include “Native Florals and Patterns” by Madelyn Joan Templeton at 104 Lincoln, “Harvest” by S.V. Williams and Molly Delvin at 501 Vernon (Wink’s Fitness), and Ellie Gainey’s “Junction” at the parking garage entrance at 405 Vernon (be cautious when photographing here as cars come and go!)

A Shot on Downtown Roseville’s Bridges
Use the lovely curves and geometry of the Rube Nelson Ice House Bridge, Taylor Street Pedestrian Bridge, and Downtown Pedestrian Bridge as a photography background or lookout point.
The Rube Nelson Ice House Bridge is of historical significance while the Downtown Roseville Pedestrian Bridge has become quite an icon in Downtown Roseville since its completion in 2019. The Taylor Street Pedestrian Bridge was also refurbished a few years ago as a part of the Downtown Bridges and Trails Project.

The Top Floor of the Oak Street Garage
Located adjacent to Vernon Street is Oak Street. The Oak Street Garage is known as the highest publicly accessible point in Downtown Roseville. Here you can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the district and snap some great overhead views.

The Duck Pond at Royer Park
In a well-shaded area is a lovely pond which offers a serene escape into nature. Watch ducks and geese glide across the water and take in the beauty of this tranquil spot—perfect for picnics, photography, or just a peaceful break from the day.
Children will particularly enjoy duck feedings — but please make sure to bring foods such as bird seed, grains, grapes, and peas (not bread which does not offer much nutrition and pollutes the pond!)

Amongst the Palm Trees and Lighted Neon Signs
Bring out the beauty of sunny skies and warm weather with a shot of the majestic palm trees in front of the Tower Theatre! With much history and vintage charm, the Tower Theatre opened in 1940 and has shown many classic movies and held many special performances throughout the years and is an iconic landmark in Roseville. The Roseville Theatre, built in 1926, also exudes similar nostalgia with its own lighted sign on the building. It is currently home to the Roseville Theatre Arts Academy and Roseville Masonic Temple, which are both non-profit organizations.
