Big Boy No. 4014, the world’s largest steam locomotive, will be on display in Downtown Roseville on July 12–13, 2024 as part of Union Pacific’s “Big Boy Westward Bound” tour, which will honor Union Pacific’s rich railroad legacy and celebrate the railroad’s employees and communities it serves.
The City is expecting upward of 1,000 visitors on both days to come and see this locomotive. On Saturday, the City will also be offering additional activities at the Vernon Street Town Square between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., including:
